We believe some of the best moments from your day aren't the posed ones - they're the ones caught candidly, from your guests' point of view, on a wobbly retro camcorder.

Throwback Cams started the way most good ideas do: by accident, at our own wedding. We have always loved the idea of having film/camcorders at our wedding, so we handed a couple to friends and family and let them film whatever they wanted - speeches, dance floor chaos, quiet in-between moments the photographer never sees. What came back was some of our favourite footage from the entire day.

Now we send that same experience to you. We post out a set of retro-style camcorders (with SD cards, so nothing gets lost to old tape), plus batteries, spares, and a prompt card to give your guests a few filming ideas. They pass the cameras round throughout your event, capturing it exactly as they experienced it. Once it's all wrapped up, you send the cameras back to us, and we edit everything into a fun highlights video - you keep all the raw footage too, forever.

This isn't about replacing polished, professional-style filming - it's about capturing something different altogether: real, unscripted moments from the people who were actually there. It's a fun, affordable way to bring your event to life, without the big price tag.

Weddings are our main thing, but we love bringing the camcorders to birthdays, hen and stag dos, christenings, and any other event where people are gathered and having a good time.
